A Life's Adventure

This isn’t just a devotional. This is a battle plan—for the trenches of earth

KINGDOM OPORD

A Tactical Mission Brief for Growth

INTRO & PURPOSE - From My Heart to Yours

You weren’t saved to sit. You were redeemed - bought with the Blood of Jesus - to move with purpose.

“The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord…”

This isn’t just another devotional, worksheet, or motivational manifesto.
This is a battle plan—for the trenches of earth.

The Kingdom OPORD was born out of fire—refined through spiritual warfare, deep prayer, and the hard-won lessons of life in the Kingdom. As a former Marine and soldier, I know firsthand the importance of clarity, structure, and readiness in a time of conflict. But I’ve also come to realize that no earthly tactic compares to walking in step with the Spirit of God.

This is for the weary warrior, the bold disciple, and the one who refuses to live a lukewarm life. It’s for those of us who know we were made for more—who feel the weight of the calling yet long for a field guide that meets us where we are and calls us higher.

We are at war—not with people, but with darkness (Ephesians 6:12). The battle is fierce. The front lines are in our homes, our minds, our relationships, and our witness. But take heart: we do not fight alone. The Lord of Hosts goes before us. Our armor is spiritual, our weapons are divine, and our victory is already secured in Christ.

The Kingdom OPORD is a mission brief for the remnant. A tool to help you live on purpose, walk in obedience, and fight the good fight with your eyes fixed on Jesus. My prayer is that it fuels your faith, strengthens your spirit, and reminds you of who you are—and whose you are.

Whether you’re navigating personal growth, fighting for your marriage, stepping into your calling, struggling to get through the day, or interceding for someone else — this framework will help you:

  • Discern your battlefield

  • Clarify your assignment

  • Strategize your next step

  • Strengthen your spiritual rhythms

  • Stay connected to the Commander

You’ve been deployed.
And this is your battle plan.

— Sean Brannan
Micah 6:8 (AMP) — “To act justly, to love [and diligently practice] mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

You were made for more than survival. You were born for impact.

OPERATIONS ORDER

What we’re up against – the battlefield defined.

We have an enemy. And we have allies.

This is not just life... It’s spiritual warfare.
And every battle starts with understanding the ground you're standing on.

Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.

Enemy Forces – How Are You Being Attacked?

  • Are you battling fear, anxiety, lies, or temptation?

  • Is peace being stolen? Are you spiritually exhausted?

  • Where do you feel most vulnerable right now?

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

Call it out. When you name the enemy’s tactics, you take the first step in dismantling them.

Friendly Forces – Who's Standing With You?

  • Jesus said, “My peace I give to you.” Are you living from that peace or chasing it?

  • We are the Church — a spiritual family.

  • Who’s your spiritual wingman? Your brother, mentor, sister, or friend?

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

You weren’t meant to sharpen yourself in isolation. You were made to be forged in the fire of relationship, truth, and Spirit-led community.

Why we’re here and what God has called us to do.

Every warrior fights for a purpose — not just survival, but victory with meaning.
In the Kingdom, that purpose is divinely assigned. You’re not here by accident. You were created, chosen, and commissioned by God to carry out good works that He prepared specifically for you.

This section of your Kingdom OPORD is where you get clear on your mission — not just the what, but the who, when, where, and why. Because when you know what you’re fighting for, you stop wasting energy on what doesn’t matter.

Whether you’re called to intercede for a loved one, lead a project, break a generational curse, or simply obey in faith during a season of stillness — your orders matter. Heaven is watching. Hell is trembling. And someone else’s breakthrough might be on the other side of your obedience.

You weren’t just saved to sit. You were saved to move with purpose. You’ve been commissioned. You’ve been called. You’ve been marked for impact.

“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared for us beforehand, so that we would walk in them.”

This is about walking in what was written — and stepping up to the call placed on your life.

WHO are you being called to serve?

  • Who has God placed on your heart?

  • Is there someone you’re being called to serve, forgive, protect, or disciple?

  • Who’s waiting on your obedience to unlock their healing?

Sometimes the battlefield is someone else’s soul — and your intercession is their covering.

“Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the requirement of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love].”

WHAT has God placed in your hands?

  • What are you being called to build, break, protect, or release?

  • What burden has God placed on you that won’t let go?

You weren’t given authority for comfort — you were given it for Kingdom impact.

“Each of you has received a gift [a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment], employ it in serving one another…”

WHEN is God calling you to act?

  • Is the time now — or is He preparing you for something ahead?

  • Is your delay actually disobedience in disguise?

This isn’t just about timing — it’s about divine alignment.
You are not here by accident. You were placed in this exact moment — in this exact battle —

When Heaven opens a window, obedience becomes the doorway. You were born for this moment.

“…And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?”

WHERE has God placed you?

  • What territory — physical or spiritual — have you been assigned to guard or influence?

  • Where has He hidden you to prepare you? Or launched you to represent Him?

Your location is not random. Your placement is part of the plan.

“The boundary lines [of the land] have fallen for me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.” — Psalm 16:6 (AMP) “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

WHY you?

  • What have you endured that could now equip someone else?

  • What has God done in you that He now wants to do through you?

Your scars are not shame. They are strategy.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”

“What you have heard from me, keep [as the pattern of sound teaching]… entrust [these truths] to reliable and faithful men who will also be capable and qualified to teach others.”

How we engage: Preparation. Engagement. Endurance.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

The enemy doesn’t care about your thoughts.
He doesn’t worry about your good intentions.
He notices you when you move.

This section is about translating vision into movement — aligning your steps with the Spirit, wielding the weapons of your warfare, and walking in obedience.

Because faith without works is dead — and delayed obedience is still disobedience.

Commander’s Intent – What is God’s Heart in This?

Ask yourself:

  • What is God’s desired outcome in this situation?

  • How does your obedience reveal His glory?

  • What does it look like if this mission ends in victory?

You are not the hero of this story — Jesus is. Your obedience reveals His power.

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…”

Course of Action – What Will You Do Next?

Ask yourself:

  • What is the next right step you know God is calling you to take?

  • What patterns, habits, or strongholds need to be broken or built?

  • What have you been avoiding that it’s time to confront?

Obedience is not about understanding everything. It’s about trusting the One who does.

“Faith by itself, if it does not have works [to back it up], is dead [being alone and ineffective].”

Weapons of War – What Are You Fighting With?

“The weapons of our warfare are not physical, but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.”

This is your arsenal:

  • The Word – Your sword of truth (Hebrews 4:12)

  • Prayer – Your direct line to the Commander (Philippians 4:6)

  • Worship – Shifts atmospheres, silences the enemy (2 Chronicles 20:22)

  • Fasting – Sharpens your spiritual edge (Matthew 6:16-18)

  • Accountability – Shields your blind spots (James 5:16)

Victory doesn’t come by striving — it comes by spiritual strategy.

The Armor of God – Are You Suited Up?

“Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily armed soldier], so that you may be able to successfully stand up against all the schemes of the devil.”

  • Belt of Truth – Grounds you in what’s real

  • Breastplate of Righteousness – Guards your heart

  • Boots of Peace – Keeps you grounded in the Gospel

  • Shield of Faith – Defends against doubt and lies

  • Helmet of Salvation – Protects your mind

  • Sword of the Spirit – The Word, spoken and alive

Don’t just stand up. Stand ready.

“But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed…”

You weren’t meant to fight starving, isolated, or spiritually dehydrated.

Even Jesus — the Son of God — retreated to refuel, to rest, to pray. You’re not above that rhythm.
Sabbath isn’t weakness. It’s worship.

This section is about identifying what keeps you standing, focused, and spiritually nourished in the long run.

Admin – Your Spiritual Health & Soul Care

Ask yourself:

  • Are you physically, emotionally, or spiritually depleted?

  • Are you carrying unhealed wounds while trying to fight for others?

  • Do you need rest — not laziness, but intentional, Spirit-led recovery?

Refusing to rest is often a sign of unbelief. When you rest, you declare: God is in control — not me

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].”

“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul.”

Logistics – What Will Sustain You Through the Mission?

Ask yourself:

  • What do you need to feed your spirit daily? (Word, worship, fasting, reflection)

  • Who or what has God placed in your life to support your mission?

  • What disciplines or rhythms do you need to return to?

The mission may be urgent — but without nourishment, you will collapse mid-fight.

“Give us this day our daily bread.”

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Support Systems – Who Has Your Six?

Ask yourself:

  • Who is holding you up in prayer?

  • Are you staying in community — or isolating in battle?

  • Do you have spiritual accountability or mentorship?

No warrior stands alone for long. The enemy prowls where there’s no cover.

“Two are better than one… for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion.”

“Encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

Who’s in charge, how we stay connected, and what we do next.

In any mission, clarity of command and signal is life or death. In the Kingdom, it’s no different. You don’t move on your own authority. You move under orders — with Spirit-led precision.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

Command – Who’s Leading This Mission?

In the military, disobedience to lawful orders is a serious offense.
In the Kingdom, disobedience to God’s orders costs ground in spiritual battles.

This mission — your healing, your calling, your relationship, your stand — is not led by emotions, opinions, or culture. It is led by the Commander of Heaven’s Armies.

To walk in victory, you must submit to His chain of command — not just in crisis, but daily.

Ask yourself:

  • Are you moving based on God’s orders or your own understanding?

  • Are you truly surrendered — or just asking for His blessing on your plan?

  • Do you trust His timing, His strategy, and His authority?

Obedience isn’t about control — it’s about trust. And trust is the foundation of spiritual power.

“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart… In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth.”

When you know who your Commander is, confusion fades and courage rises.

“The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.”

Signal – How Are You Staying Connected?

Every warrior needs a comms plan — because silence from HQ leads to self-destruction. How are you maintaining connection with God?

  • Daily prayer (not just talking — listening)

  • Time in the Word

  • Journaling or intercession

  • Worship or solitude

  • Spiritual disciplines: fasting, confession, communion

What is God saying? What is He highlighting?

“Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things…”

And what’s your backup comms plan when the battle is thick? Who do you call when you can’t hear clearly?

  • Spiritual mentor?

  • Faith-filled friend?

  • Prayer team?

“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”

You’re not just a warrior — you’re a son. You fight from connection, not just conviction.
Don’t go radio silent. Stay on the line.
