The What Is:

Library

Discovering the language of faith and growth.

Every journey has a language. Words like surrender, grace, repentance, trauma, discipleship, integrity, attachment, boundaries, identity, and discernment are often used, but they are not always understood in the same way.

The What Is Library is a growing collection of biblical truths and modern psychological concepts designed to help us develop a shared language for faith, healing, relationships, and spiritual formation. Each entry explores what a term means, why it is important to understand, and how it influences the way we live, relate, and follow Jesus.

Rather than separating biblical truth and psychology into competing conversations, this library seeks to understand each within its proper role. Psychology helps us recognize the experiences, wounds, beliefs, emotions, and patterns that shape the way we perceive ourselves, others, and the world around us. Scripture reveals God’s truth, calls us into relationship with Him, and invites us into the transformation that comes through Jesus Christ.

Self-awareness is an important part of that journey, but it is not the destination. The more honestly we see ourselves, the more clearly we recognize our need for God’s grace and transforming work. Every resource in this library is designed to move beyond information toward humility, surrender, and a life increasingly shaped by the One who is Truth.
